Rodney N. Nishimoto, DMD, MD

Dr. Nishimoto was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he graduated valedictorian/summa cum laude and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Nishimoto completed his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at the University of Washington where he also earned a Doctor of Medicine degree and 2-year Certificate in General Surgery.

Dr. Nishimoto is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His special interests include dentoalveolar surgery (dental implants, bone/soft tissue grafting, wisdom teeth extractions, dental extractions), oral pathology, orthognathic/corrective jaw surgery, maxillofacial reconstruction, facial trauma, obstructive sleep apnea, TMJ dysfunction and outpatient dental anesthesia/IV sedation.

Dr. Nishimoto remains up-to-date on the most current clinical practice guidelines and research in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He has published multiple research papers covering the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery/dental anesthesiology and has received national recognition for his research.

In his free time, Dr. Nishimoto enjoys cooking, hiking, golfing and spending time with wife Amy, family and friends.
